Made for You

Hi, I'm Ashley.

I first started making natural deodorant back in 2016. It was something I felt driven to do—partially in response to a personal health scare, but also in light of a growing concern over the additives found in everyday consumer goods.

Why did everything seem to have those "ingredients you can't pronounce"? Why could I read one product label that had only five ingredients and then compare it with another of a different brand that had 10? It didn't make sense, so I started doing a lot of digging.
It became clear there was so much more to the story—a story we're rarely told and often only have reason to examine until it hits too close to home.
After about three years of experimenting and quality testing natural deodorant on myself, friends and family, it was time to take things to the next level. I wanted to share the discovery I'd made, as well as a product I was genuinely surprised actually worked.
The concept of Asymmetry is inspired by a respect for the natural world—the beauty and harmony that exists within all of the imperfections. In many ways, it's a concept that's been systematically rejected by society.
Simple products are augmented with fillers, synthetics and preservatives in an effort to appear perfect. Smooth textures are fabricated and corners are cut to fuel mass-production and longevity—all in the name of adhering to certain societal standards I just don't agree with.
So much of what we put on and in our bodies isn't natural. Ultimately, decisions are made beyond our control with less regard for the long-term effects on well-being and health.
There's too much misinformation out there and I believe we deserve access to more intentional products. Products that attempt to prevent rather than simply treat. Products derived from the native ingredients that have evolved alongside us.
The ultimate mission behind Asymmetry Naturals is to remind you that some of the most powerful decisions you can make happen with your attention and wallet.
It can feel hard to make a difference, but taking action can be as simple as making choices you can stand behind. Choices that feel good for you, your community and the planet.

There may not be much we can control, but this we can.
